Commencement 2016 

The Highline College 2016 Commencement was held June 16th at ShoWare Center in Kent. In a significant first for the college, 20 students graduated with Bachelor of Applied Science degrees. These students were the first to enroll in the college's new 4-year degree programs; Cybersecurity and Forensics, Global Trade and Logistics, Respiratory Care and Youth Development.

What can YOU do?

  • Organize a Volunteer Opportunity and tell us about it!
  • Sponsor an Internship or Job Shadow or ask your employer to do so. Share the opportunity with us, we will spread the word to current students and other alums. 
  • Donate $10 to our Scholarship Fund and encourage others to do the same!

Alumni Partnership with CASE
 
Highline College celebrated the grand opening of the brand new Center for Career and Student Employment (CASE) in September. CASE is the campus resource center dedicated to helping students, alumni, and community members with career explopration, job search, resume writing and career events. All services are free of charge. The Alumni Association is excited to be partnering with CASE to offer all services to alums. Additionally, Highline alums can now volunteer as career mentors for students in the career exploration process.  
 
 
The Puget Sound area is home to many well-known companies and industries, including aircraft manufacturer, Boeing. The aerospace giant is our state's largest employer with 80,000 locally and another 80,000 worldwide. Other locally based companies that employ Highline alums include Microsoft, Alaska Airlines and Starbucks.
